Programs
At Jared’s Heart of Success, we are leading community violence intervention efforts by equipping youth—especially those impacted by trauma—with the tools, support, and power to transform their lives and communities.
Rooted in healing and prevention, our programs focus on:
-
Mentoring: Providing consistent guidance and positive role models to help youth build self-confidence and life skills.
-
Peer Mediation: Training youth to resolve conflicts peacefully and become ambassadors of nonviolence in their schools and communities.
-
Conflict Resolution: Teaching restorative practices that promote understanding, accountability, and peaceful problem-solving.
-
Mental Wellness Support: Creating safe spaces for youth to process trauma, develop resilience, and strengthen emotional well-being.
Through these core initiatives, we are cultivating a generation of young change-makers who are not only surviving but thriving—and driving change in their communities to make them safer, healthier, and more connected.
CONFLICT RESOLUTION
Resolve with Purpose is an innovative, trauma-informed 12-week conflict resolution program designed to break cycles of violence and foster lasting, positive change. Grounded in social-emotional learning, the program empowers youth and individuals, especially those impacted by trauma—with the tools to navigate conflict, build healthy relationships, and lead with intention.
The curriculum features 12 structured weekly modules focused on:
-
Effective Communication
-
Emotional Regulation
-
Empathy and Understanding
-
Peer Mediation Techniques
-
Emotional Wellness
-

-
Advocacy and Leadership
Each session offers a safe, supportive environment where participants can reflect, heal, and grow. Activities are designed to be restorative, culturally responsive, and developmentally appropriate, helping participants build resilience and strengthen self-awareness.
By the end of the program, participants are not only equipped with conflict resolution skills, but they also emerge as confident, compassionate leaders ready to create safer, more connected communities and drive meaningful, sustainable change.

S.T.E.M Literacy Program
Our STEM Literacy Program empowers youth with the skills and knowledge to thrive in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. By integrating hands-on activities, real-world problem-solving, and critical thinking, we aim to inspire curiosity, foster innovation, and prepare participants for academic and career success. Through mentorship and access to resources, the program bridges gaps in STEM education and cultivates a lifelong passion for learning and discovery.
STEM allows individuals to connect their learning in these critical areas together with arts practices, elements, and design principles. This year we also incorporated coding into our comprehensive opportunities for creativity, innovation, and critical thinking.

Save Promise Club
Students Against Violence Everywhere (SAVE) is the student leadership initiative of Sandy Hook Promise. JHOSI have embedded a SAVE Promise Club into our existing program.
